Pre and post test results
Hi, have been working on the community templates and one problem that I have come across several times now is that the nurses often want to record the same thing several times in a single consultation. for example during a respiratory assessment they do walk tests and want to record pulse rate and peripheral oxygen before the test starts and after the test.
At present the best I have come up with in Systmone is to put the same codes on and ask them to free text whether it is before the test or after the test and if it a 6m test or a 10 m test, in this particular instance there are 3 different walk test so they want to record the same reading 6 times. I did try requesting codes for pre and post results but they were turned down as the codes for pulse rate and peripheral oxygen exist.
Has anyone else come across this and found a better solution?
Thanks
Debbie

Does Terminology understand the need?

Did Terminology understand the business case for the terms you need?
They have supplied pre and post bronchodilation Codes for PEFR even though Codes for PEFR also existed previously: is this need fundamentally different?
I'm not a SystmOne user, but can your solution produce a report either within the system or after export to Excel showing the pre and post test results in the correct order so they can be used for management of populations and identification of individuals needing attention?
An interesting problem: how is anyone tackling this in other systems and is it doable in Rio or other non-GP systems used in Community?
Anyone working with Lorenzo and SNOMED yet?
