Care Record Summary
You can tell I've got nothing better to do!!! I've just been reading PRIMIS Platform newsletter and it discusses the care record summary. According to this article "the first update for each patient will be done during a consultation to allow the GP and patient to validate the record together and allow the patient to select their preference for when and how future summary updates are sent"
I wonder if GPs know this? I was under the impression, but I may have dreamt it, that it would just be a massive upload overnight. If GPs are to do this in their consultations, there is now way this will be done without another DES being issued, like C&B.

Record summary
The first upload consists of the patients medication, allergies and adverse reactions. If the patient does not dissent within 16 weeks of receiving their information letter then this is the information that is sent in a bulk upload.
When they visit their GP a discussion will take place to what other items they want storing from their medical history. Sensitive information they do not want to go can be dragged into a seperate box labelled items not to be sent.
