PRIMIS+ Introduction to the Language of Health and Medical Terminology
This training will be held at NHS Hampshire, Omega House, Southampton Road, Eastleigh, Southampton SO50 5PB.
The Introduction to the Language of Health will enable delegates:
• to identify the various terminologies, classifications and groupings used in the NHS
• enable delegates to understand some of the common language used in healthcare
The Introduction to Medical Terminology session introduces delegates to the ‘building blocks’ of medical terminology. It will enable delegates to:
• understand the structure of medical terminology
• use recognised strategies for working out the meaning of medical terms
Delivered in a one day workshop, these sessions are aimed at learners who are undertaking the new Language of Health unit. Please contact hilary.gerrans@primis.nottingham.ac.uk if you would like more information about registering for the whole unit.
